Job Title: Meighen Centre Intern/Research Assistant

Supervisor: Meighen Centre Manager

Job Description:

The Meighen Centre Intern/Research Assistant will assist the Meighen Centre with various tasks and projects underway at the Centre.

This incumbent will work closely with Meighen Centre staff and students on various projects throughout the year including: data entry for the notetaking program, assisting with support for students with various disabilities, developing UDL (Universal Design for Learning) and mental health focused materials for faculty/staff, coordinating AT (Assistive Technology) student-helpers, invigilating tests and exams as well as supporting research initiatives at the Centre.


Skills/Qualifications

*         Preference will be given to a recent Mount Allison University graduate (May 2016)

*         Proven research skills, organizational skills and a strong attention to detail are an asset

*         Mature, responsible individual who can deal with confidential material in a sensitive manner

*         Experience working with a diverse population is an asset

*         Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office and other AT is an asset

*         Experience working with web-based documents is an asset

Hours and Rate of Pay:

*         from June 15, 2016 - August 15, 2016 - max. 10 hours a week.

*         from August 15, 2016 - April 30, 2017 - max 30 hours a week.

*         Salary is $15/hour
